Can I use the app in offline mode?
Yes, you can. But you have to connect to the internet for the first time. Then you can download sections to view them in offline mode.
What content will I get if I download a section?
The app saves the latest content amount you selected for that section.
How can I download a section?
Go to: (1) Images or phrases tab (2) Click in the three dots icon on the top left corner of the section item you want to download (3) Click on download section. After downloading the section, you will be able to view it’s content in offline mode.
How can I update a section to include the latest content?
Go to: (1) Images or phrases tab (2) Click in the three dots icon on the top left corner of the section item you want to download (3) Click on update content.
Can I view images in offline mode?
Yes, you can. Follow the steps in { How can I download a section? } Note !!! Images may require significant time and storage space to download. For example, 100 images might take approximately ~50MB of storage and ~half an hour to download based on your internet speed.
Using the App Without an Account
Home screen content is random. Why?
Without an account, content is general. Register or log in to personalize your feed.
How can I search for images only, phrases only, or users only?
Go to: (1) Search tab (2) Click in the settings icon that is near the search bar (3) Select a filter. After selecting the filter you will be able to search for images only, phrases only or users only.
What features am I missing without an account?
You can’t create statuses, follow users, like content, choose topics, create collections or view other users profile
Account Management
How can I create an account?
Go to: (1) Profile tab (2) Click on login in button (3) Select a register method (4) fill required information. Then your account should be ready to be used.
How to create an account with Google or Facebook?
Follow the steps in { How to create an account? } and click on 'Continue with Google' or 'Continue with Facebook'.
Why do you ask for age, gender, and country?
This helps personalize content suggestions for your interests.
Can I use my phone number to register?
Not yet. Phone number sign-in will be available in future updates.
How can I verify my email?
Check your inbox for 'Halaty App Email Verification' and click the link inside.
What happens if I don’t verify my email?
Your email will be disconnected from your account and you may lose your account.
I forgot my password. How can I reset it?
If your account has a password then go to: (1) Profile tab (2) Click on login in button (3) Write your email and click on continue button (4) Click on (forget your password?) and confirm your email by click on continue (5) You should receive a confirmation code to your email (6) Write the confirmation code and click on (confirm) Note: the code will expire after 30 minutes. If it expired, you could click on (send again) to receive a new code (7) Write your new password with its confirmation. Then your password should be reset.
How do I update my email?
If your account has an email then go to: (1) Profile tab (2) Click on the three dots above the screen and select settings (3) In the settings account group click on advance settings then click on change email (4) Write your new email and click on continue button (5) Check your inbox for 'Halaty App Email Verification' and click the link inside. Then your email should be updated.
Can I change my topic preferences?
Not yet. topic tuning will be available in future updates.
How can I link my account with Google or Facebook?
Go to: (1) Profile tab (2) Click on the three dots above the screen and select settings (3) In the settings account group click on link account with Google / link account with Facebook (4) Follow the provider instructions. Then your account will be connected with Google / Facebook
Why does removing my account take 30 days?
You can recover it during that period if deletion was accidental.
What is a session?
A session is temporary encrypted data identifying your device securely to the server.
Reporting
How can I report inappropriate content?
select which status you want to report: (1) Click on the three dots and select report a status (2) Select which category the status is violating (3) Add a comment if you have one. Then the report is created successfully and sent to the managers to review. Note: reports may take time to process.
How can I report users?
select which user you want to report: (1) Click on the three dots above and select report a user (2) Select which category the user is violating (3) add a comment if you have one. Then the report is created successfully and sent to the managers to review. Note: reports may take time to process.
Can I block users?
Not yet. blocking users will be available in future updates.
My account is blocked from the app. What can I do?
If you violate the terms of services, you will not be able to recover your account. If you think that was by mistake, you can contact us using the support email {support@email.com}
Content Management
How do I create a status?
If you are logged in: (1) Go to home page or profile and click on the plus sign (2) Fill in the information about the status (3) Click on Create button. Then the status is created successfully. Note: statuses may take time to be reviewed.
Can I edit a status?
You can't edit a status, but you can delete it and create a new one with the updates.
How do I add content to a collection?
If you are logged in, select which content you want to add: (1) Click on the collection plus sign (2) select which collection you want to add to. NOTE: If you don't have any collections, click on create a collection. You should see the added content in the collection or the collection you created.
Why can’t I see my content publicly?
All new content is reviewed before being visible to others.
Why was content removed from my collection?
The owner deleted it, so it was removed from your collection too.
Why is there a limit on how many statuses or collections I can create?
We’re in public beta, so limits help maintain smooth performance for all users.
How do I copy, save, or share statuses?
Use the copy, share, or save icons available on each status.
